A Walk In The Park....NOT!

Mom wanted to take a nice photo for the DWB Christmas Card Exchange (click on the link if you want to join! Hurry though...November 10th is the last day to join!), and so Mom, Aunty Jane and Rachel took me, Kenji and Lady to the playground near our house to have our little errm...'photo shoot'.

Mom had a very ambitious goal as to how the photo she wanted to snap (She wanted to snap a photo just like this one, but instead of people, it's us!). However, due to some *ahem* subjects' inabilities to co-operate, she didn't get that lovely photo she had dreamed about...want to see what we got?

Omigosh! The attack of the ginormous tongue! LOL!
This was a test photo that Mom took to see if the lighting from the sun is bright enough to capture the prettiness of the grass...guess not. =P

Chilling out like I always do...and not paying any attention to Mom frantically waving the treat in front of the camera!

Ahh...at least I got this one right, but Mom's still not satisfied. It's supposed to be us three, not me alone...*sigh*

More testing shots of me alone so that she can Photoshop us together if in case we couldn't get a nice photo together...LOL!

Kenji trying to look regal...he kind of reminds me of those Egyptian cats that were revered a long time ago. *wink*

And Lady! She was SOOO excited to be out and about...and when Mom doled out the treats, oh my gosh! She went almost beserk...>.<" So not how a real lady should behave, no? But that's our Lady for you...*wink*

Trying out the three of us together (and in the process you can hear Mom screaming in frustration at us)...*Take 1*

*Take 245*...LOL!
Mom: I have to say this, but it's no easy feat trying to get these three together coz they have not spent a lot of time playing with each other and it's a new environment...Kenji is for some reason, very nervous of being around Lady (who is 3 times his size) and Scottie...well, let's just say he's going through a very hormonal phase right now and couldn't sit still NEXT to Lady...he would try to hump her every chance he gets. >.<"

Missing one of our members...and me becoming more and more drooly. Eww!

Mom sort of gave up after all that, and Rachel wanted to play at the playground, so Aunty Jane took Lady to accompany Rachel and Mom decided to make us cam-whores again...*rolls eyes*

Kenji obviously getting more sleepy as time goes...

Agghhh...sun too bright!

All in all...it was a HUGE disaster, to say the least! Mom said she wants to try again this weekend to see if she can coax us to behave..and see what she can do for our card exchange. But wait, after browsing through the photos...we found:
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
THIS! YAYY!! Do you think it looks nice enough for the card? I'm not too sure...Mom says it's good, but the orientation is all wrong for her card design. GRRRR! What do you want Mom? We're not professional models, you know!

xoxo,
Scottie

The last picture is a keeper, but my favorite is the shot of the tongue! (All the better to lick you with, my dear...)

We love the picture! Have your Mum put a Christmas tree or holiday bush in the middle and it will work like a charm!

I think you all look wonderful... happy, and healthy and loved. What better Christmas message is there than that?

Tell your mom she has three of the best looking dogs in the world as models and that she should just "keep it natural".

Scottie!

Good for you for getting ready for the Christmas Card exchange already! I still have a few Christmas pictures from last year to put on my card, but I'd like to take a new photo for this year...

I think that first photo of you is the BEST! Look at your ginormous tongue!

I think that's a wonderful photo! My goofball brother always makes faces in mom's photographs so she knows exactly how frustrating it can be!

Good luck with the holiday photo stuff. We have been "practicing" for days now so that momma can get the perfect shot. Ugh.

Hi, Scottie -

We like the last picture too. In fact we like all of them. Kaci and I don't really sit still for Mama and Papa - it is more fun to move around. My older sister Bosco loved posing for the camera.

Scottie, you are soOoo patient! Hoomans just don't realise that there is so much for us to do outside and having our photo's taken is such a distraction from nature.
Well done, you did get some nice pics, even if they weren't quite what your artiste wanted..

Why do humans think we should sit still for photographs? I mean, we have better things to do, right? I'm impressed your mom got the last photo at all!

Oh! the picture was so nice scottie. All of your pics looked nice. You look almost too pretty to be a boy. *cough*

Manang is nodding in agreement with your mom. it really is very difficult to take card worthy pictures (esp. ones that you'll give for christmas) with 3 vibrant subjects.

Your final pic looked beautiful. *claps paws*.. Hope we can also work on ours.. huhuhuhu... we have not even started on the card concept, lest take pictures for the card

Good evening scottie.
It is a season of Christmas.
The liked photograph is difficult.
However, when the photograph can be taken, it is comfortable.
Please spend a wonderful weekend slowly. :D

Last one does look pretty good. Tell Kenji to lay off the eggnog, though. He's listin' to the left.

That "pose" your mom wants is tough. I don't even think we could handle it and we're professionals.

Hi Scottie! I like your pictures, especially the last. You look cute and so happy!
It´s so hard for mom to get a pose that she wants from me, imagine three! ;)
Have a nice weekend!

Hi Scottie
It is funny seeing your mum trying to take photos of the 3 of you together, all looking at the camera !! I HATE having my photo taken and so does Rose. We head for the hills every time we see mum with the camera. Luckily she hasn't been taking photos lately.
I think your photo for your Christmas card looks cool.
Lady looks like an old English Setter and it looks as if she has spots on her legs too. I would know for sure if I met her in person.
You take very good care of yourself coz I can't blog again until 2009. I'll miss you.
Thank you very much for showing Beau and his mission button on your blog. This will help us a lot to find Beau and we are very grateful to you and your mum for helping us. Geography does not matter now with the internet.
Love from Hammer
