*Sigh* The Things I Put Up With!

Okay, here's the thing...Mom has this tendency to see amazing videos of doggies and what they can do, and she often wants to try it out...with me! >.<" Most of the time, it didn't work (hehehehe!), but sometimes it does, because I'm a huge sucker for treats. LOL! Mom saw this video quite a LOOONGGG time ago on Facebook, and she was SUPER impressed with what these pets can do. She didn't understand a single word from the video, but it's so easy to just know what they're doing...watch it and you'll know what I mean:

SUPER AMAZING RIGHT???!! I don't know how those doggies did it, especially the second doggie! The chimpanzee was even more cute (according to Mom!) After a while, she forgot about it....until a couple of days ago. Out of sheer boredom, she just remembered about the video, and hence was 'inspired' (in a twisted, sadistic way I might add!!) to do:

This!! Gah! She didn't have the nice biscuit bones or the long yummy bacon treats that the people in the video had, so she took the nearest treat that had a big amount in the packet. I felt a little proud knowing that I could 'resist' those treats, but oh no! It's just the beginning...

She NEXT added more treats on top!! >.<" Initially wanting to put even more on, she couldn't due to my small schnozzle, and so . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . *Sighhhhhh* We STILL were nowhere NEAR any of the number of treats that got put on though (Can you guess the number? I think you can...it's so easy to count them. LOLL!) because..

I dropped them all and wouldn't stand for it! Take that you torturing treats! NOM NOM NOM!

Kenji helped me in destroying those torture devices too...heh!

And me ish a more happy dog with them treats firmly where they should be: my belly! *grins*

...And More Food...

As promised, here are the photos of my Gotcha Day 'treats'...heh! Yes, as some of you guessed correctly...they are SUPPOSED to be Lollipups. *grins* Why do I say SUPPOSED to be? Because Mom made a complete disaster of it...the shapes of the Lollipups were supposed to be round, but somehow she managed to make the dough VERY sticky and hard to work with (when she put a cookie cutter through the dough, the cut dough shrinks away from the cutter...*rolls on the floor laughing* I guess her baking was so bad, even the dough had enough sense to shrink away!)

See? All mismatched shapes...bwahahahaha! The Lollipup 'sticks' are actually rawhide chews, and the actual Lollipups, apple and cinnamon flavored...*grins* It's a good thing those Lollipups smelled GOOD and doesn't taste as bad, otherwise I'd say it was a total waste of time! *wink*

There's one for Lady...

One for Kenji...

One for me (pictured in the last post), one for the fun of it, and the other disastrous icing-ed one...=P The 'icing' was actually dog chocolate...yummy!

Because the dough was so icky to work with, Mom decided to improvise and came up with apple 'turnovers' for us...LOL! The filling inside were diced apples tossed with a pinch of cinnamon. (Psst...they looked better on camera than they were in real life! *wink*) We ate all of them throughout the next few days as treats...Mom was too embarassed to give them out to the neighbors. heh!

Here I am with MY Lollipup! As you can see, I'm not too happy because Mom smushed the icing (how she managed to do that, I have no idea..*rolls eyes*), but it still smelled good. I think I'm beginning to like cinammon A LOT! *grins*

So, start with a tentative lick...

And go for it with one paw on the stick...heh! Note the icky mess on the floor..Gramma wasn't too happy about THAT =P

Kenji's approach was a little different though. First, he SLYLY and cunningly look at the Lollipup...

Start having a go at it with teeny bites on the back (and on the icing too)..

And eating up the rawhide FIRST before devouring that Lollipup!

I wish I had Lady's photos too, but she eats things like ladies do (aka chomping everything good and fast, making photos blurry) so we didn't manage to get any nice ones of her. =( She DID enjoy it loads however...*grins*

After all the eating, it's time for a little 'exercise', so out pops my FAVOURITE toy...mwahahaha! Please Mom??

And we got to playing quite hard...see the video, and you'll know why! *wink*

Stay tuned for the next post! Gramma has spruced up some LOVELY yummy eatables again! I wonder if she made some for me...*wink*

New Trick #3

Mom tried to teach me a new trick...it was supposed to be a two-legged 'turn', but as usual...it all became quite a disaster. LOL! Mom definitely needs to work on rewarding me more so that I would do it properly...heheh! There's a little surprise towards the second half of the video, so watch out for it! *whispers* And I'd like to dedicate this to Aunty Vivian...you'll know why when you see it! *wink*

Well, that's it from me...we'll see if we can get better at this one. Needs quite a bit of work (& balance!). *grins*

Videos...finally!

Whew...I finally got the videos up and running! *grins* As promised, here are the videos from the MKA agility and obedience trials last week! The first one below is a short snippet of one of the winners in agility...a Jack Russell Terrier called Kimi! He sure is very enthusiastic about it, barking all the way!

This next one is yours truly making a big blunder at the Pre-Novice class of the obedience trials...haha! I would love it (well, Mom made me ask!) if you fellow champion obedience doggies and parents could give me a few pointers as to how to make my heelwork better! Mom's quite frustrated sometimes when I do it so beautifully at the training grounds, but not so when I'm in somewhere new...*rolls eyes*

Here's a video that Mom managed to get of me, Pacco & Ginger having a bit of fun after our turns at the obedience trials...hehe!

And last but not least, Mom got a video of me and Kenji wading in our pool..*grins* I can't help but laugh when I saw Kenji's face...haha!

Well, that's about it for my obedience trials and 'swimming'...*grins* It's nearing the weekend already, so I hope you have a GREAT weekend! Coming up next, it's someone special's BIRTHDAY! Who's that? Watch this space...*wink*

More puppies in action

Hi everyone!

Hope you all had a great weekend...mine was great! It was quite a long weekend coz Monday was a public holiday here, so Mom got one more day to spend with us. *grins* And...she made another video on the puppies in action!

Haha...yes, I (or rather, Mom!) can't stop about the pups...=P Here is yet another video of the pups, but it's more of a compilation of videos of sorts. Don't want to bore you with too many videos! Plus, I think Mom wants to get as many photos and videos of the pups before they go to their new homes...she sure is going to miss them when they're going off! (Mom found two potential owners, but they are still considering)

Anyways, enough chatter...Enjoy! *wink*

We'll return to more Scottie stuff after this...*wink* I've gotten SOOOO many Christmas cards I've lost count! It's SOOO nice to be getting so many Christmas cards...Mom is SUPER jealous! haha! Stay tuned...

Puppy videos!

As promised, here are videos of the pups! Excuse the volume of the 'background music' and the shaky camera...Mom and Gramma were watching some TV program and the puppies were very distracting indeed...

I've actually got another video of Kenji playing with the pups that's SUPER cute, but the file is a little too big, so I'm going to have to ask Mom to edit it for me when she gets back from work...I've also got quite a lot of Christmas cards coming my way! Will post a Christmas Card Exchange post real soon...*wink*

MAHA Expo 2008 Part Deux

Hello!

As promised...here's the second part of Mom's trip to the MAHA thingy on her birthday! These photos are from the obedience trials that went on for almost the whole day. Like what Amber said, it was very hot, and there were too many *ahem* Malays! No offence against them, but they were not dog-friendly and always kind of feel threatened when they see us doggies, even though we can be as gentle as a hamster.

Mom said that all the doggies were too hot, most of them were not in the mood for the exercises at all....=( But then, they still managed to finish the exercises. She still had a good time though, coz she got to meet most of the participants in the trials! Which makes me jealous! I want to meet new friends too! *pouts* Oh well, I guess photos would have to do for now..

This little Chihuahua is superb! She looked just like Kenji, only with longer fur! She won 1st prize in the Pre-Novice Class trials! Mom didn't get her name though..congrats anyhow!

This is Scruffy, a good friend of Pacco's! Mom was so thrilled to see him again and see him do his thing at the trials! The last time Mom saw him, he gave a demo to us at our first day in obedience class. The other thing Mom liked about him was that he is part Schnauzer...*grins* He won 2nd place at the Novice Class! Congrats Scruffy!

And this is the lovely Ginger! She is Scruffy's sister...also another talented doggie! Mom loves petting her! She won 2nd place at the Pre-Novice Class trials! Congrats, Ginger!

Another friend that Mom met...she didn't catch his name though. =( But he was SOOO cute, according to Mom. He sat up immediately and posed for Mom when she took out her camera to snap his photo!

This is Cash, a little Poodle that Mom got to carry and give cuddles to after his trials! Mom loved his soft fur, and said that he cuddles exactly the way I do it...hey, I thought I was the ultimate in cuddles! *pouts* Cash qualified for his Pre-Novice trials!

Ooh...this doggie looks like Fenway! Mom got to see him in action, and she included the video here too! It's further down, as you scroll along...=)

What do you know? There's a fellow Schnauzer pal too! Mom didn't get the name of this cutie though, but she said she's ADORABLE!

OMG! It's Faith, Amber-Mae's sista!! Mom was SOOO happy to see her, but she said it was probably too hot, and Faith just lay there trying to cool herself! I wish I met you too, Faith! Next time, I shall meet you, Amber and Chloe together....*grins*

Teehee! Here's Cash getting a little cooling down from the fan...Mom says this fan gives out mists of water to help the cooling down more. Awesome!

This is BJ, a Belgian Shepard, of whom Mom was SOOO impressed by! During his trials, Mom said he watches his owner ALL THE WAY..never taking his eyes away from the owner's face! How cool was that? Mom asked me when can I be like that too...I told her,"I probably need more practice...and more treats!" *wink*

This is Snowy, a Labrador who is only 8 months old! I think she kind of looks like Charlie, Opy's big brother when he was younger. Hope you're doing much better, Charlie! Mom said that Snowy is SOOOO friendly! =)

Here is a video of the Open Class trials (the highest level for Obedience trials) which took place later in the afternoon. There were only 2 participants in it, a Poodle (not Cash!) and a Border Collie (the one which looks like Fenway!)...Mom was SOOO impressed by them. I'm a bit worried though...what if she expects me to behave like them too? I don't mind behaving, but I take quite some time learning new stuff! Mom needs to be patient, I say! It's a bit long, but it's really quite cool if you've got the time to view it. There was also the 'Sit Stay' and 'Down Stay' exercises, but Mom didn't get a video of them.

Very, VERY impressive, no? Mom didn't get to see the results for this class though...she left because it was almost 6pm (she was there since 11am...eep!) and Gramma and Grampa were tired. Either way, I think they're both fabulous!

While they were heading down to the tram stop, Mom heard a loud crowd near the tram stop....what did they see? RODEO MALAYSIA!!! o.O" Mom said she have never seen a real-live rodeo show before, so she asked Gramma and Grampa to take a detour to watch it for a while! Technically,it's not really RODEO MALAYSIA, coz the participants in the show were from Australia...haha! But then, they were really nice to call it Rodeo Malaysia...and Mom was so excited watching it! It looked very dangerous though, and I don't know how these cowboys go through it day in and day out. Big respect to them..

There were some more events there, like Team Roping and Steer Wrestling, Saddle Bronc and Bareback Riding, but Mom's camera died from all the photos and video taking non stop for the whole day...meh! She said the bareback riding was the scariest....gosh,I wish I'd seen it too!

Well, that's it for the MAHA Expo thingy...I'll be back with more current news of my misadventures soon...*grins* Till then, I'll leave you with this...

Before Mom left for the tram stop, she took a photo of this tree....whoa! Can you see the people standing under it? It's ginormous!

New Trick #2

Hi everyone!

Mom got this book, which gave her some ideas on how to teach me some tricks so that I can impress the ladies (Do we really need that? I mean, isn't our good looks good enough?). Also, seeing that Amber-Mae knows the most fabulous tricks, Mom is trying to learn to teach me this 'Take a Bow' trick...to some disastrous results yet again! This time, I assure you...it's worse than the 'Leave it' trick...

I don't know what's wrong with Mom...why do I have to keep my butt up in the air when I can plonk it down nice and comfy on the cool floor? Sheesh...Still, she is adamant about getting it right, but it seems either that she doesn't know how to follow instructions, or she's reading it wrongly....OR, she's just plain stupid. Either way, I win coz I get lots of treats! hehe! *wink*

Yes, the other doggie barking in the background is none other than Kenji...obviously when he saw me with any form of treats, he goes all yappy and crazy, wanting his fair share too...

Guess What?

Mom tried to teach me a new trick...with somewhat disastrous results, all thanks to moi! *grins*

It's WAR!!

Mwahahaha! It's war of the two 'great' pups that are Kenji and yours truly! *grins*

*hears crickets chirp* Okay....not EXACTLY a war, but I like to think of it that way. That's coz Mom let us play with the tug-of-war!! I LURRRVE tug-of-wars,especially if there's someone tugging at it mercilessly at the other end! heh..
Mom plays it okay, but Kenji plays it exceptionally well! I only wish he would just let me have it some times...he always manages to trick me into letting go.

Phew...after all that wrestling, it's time to relax a bit! Mom tempted us with some treats to make us smile for the camera...

Me and my very drool-ey beard...eww.

A little close-up action for you...*grins*

A little 'trick' time! Mom makes us sit quiet enough for us to take a photo...

Another one of us being GOOD boys...heh!

Individual photos of us staying for Grampa...that's his arm at the side. Grampa loves it when we do the 'Down Stay' for him!

Come on, let's all smile for the camera!

Kenji's turn for a close up...doesn't he look cute too?

Let me show you my shiny coat...haha! Mom says my back coat is soft and shiny; too bad about the front paws and my beard. I say, it's me au naturel! *grins*

Gosh, all this playing makes me tired...let's adjourn to the bedroom, shall we? *wink*

Kenji shares the same bedroom as I do...posing ever so nicely(yet sleepily) for Mom!

And this is MY bed! How appropriate, no? My own Peanuts bedsheet! *grins*

*yawns* Boy, this bed sure is comfy!

Zzzzzzzz.....

Night night now.....
