Ruby's Resort Again...YAYYY!!!

Hi everyone,

Since Mom's feeling a little better (thanks to everyone for the healing vibes!), she thought she'd help me post about the trip we went to like, AAAGES ago...*sigh* I thought for once, we could be on time, but as it is, circumstances do not allow it, eh? Anyways, here's Day 1 of our trip to Ruby's Resort way back on 24th July...

We were ecstatic about reaching the place! SOOO many new smells since we were there last!

After all our friends reached the resort, it's FEASTING time! *grins* Mom made some cupcakes (like the ones Kenji got for his birthday) for everybody to share...=)

This was Mom in one of the chalets which housed many Maltese friends...look at them all clambering to get some of those cupcakes! *grins*

As it were, there wasn't much going on during Day 1, so Mom didn't take many photos of us, but during the evening, Ruby and her workers were very kind to put up a bonfire for our group! How cool is that? We loved watching the pretty flames, but it did get a little too hot to sit near it...

So, that's about it for Day 1 at Ruby's Resort...boy, was it tiring to be travelling for about 4 hours to get there! But still, it was worth it, being able to experience nature like this!

Kenji calling it a night...heh!

Day 2 was quite disastrous coz Mom woke up late...hmmph! She got up at 9am when the sun is already up and about....I made sure she hurried me to the beach though! *wink*

Hehehe...a similar photo was taken at our last trip, but I still love it! *wink*

Here was one of my Maltese friends at the table, Faustina! She was so patient, waiting at the table for her Mom...=)

We didn't lose much time, so off to the beach...and there I played with Pepper, a Min. Schnauzer pup like me! She was so much fun!

We'll be back soon...I'm getting Mom to help me comment at your blogs while she's at this *wink*

Update..

Hi everyone,

Thanks so much for your kind wishes and healing vibes! Mom is overwhelmed by the amount of well-wishes she got from all around the world =) And the healing vibes worked! Mom doesn't need surgery, but she will have to be in a cast until September before she goes for another follow up then. We're hoping she will be fully recovered by then...*crosses paws*

At her last visit, Mom took some photos of her x-rays from the doctor's computer. Apparently, everything is digitalized at the hospital she went to; even x-rays don't need the films anymore!

This was on the day when she broke her arm, before the cast was put on...Mom said the x-ray on the right caused her more pain than when she actually fell and broke the arm. OUCH! I felt like giving the people who did that to Mom a big bite on THEIR arm, but it seems that it was necessary at the time for the doctors to assess the extent of the injury...=\

And this was taken after the cast (or the more proper term the U Slab) was put on. The doctor told Mom that the bones have aligned very well, so we're hoping that this will stay like that until it's healed properly!

Well, that's about it from me...I've been reading your blogs, but with Mom's condition, she can't type that much. I'll try to get her to help me post some comments real soon though since she's feeling much better these days! Till then..

Really Bad Luck...

Hi everyone,

This was supposed to be a very cool post involving a great trip to Ruby's Resort with Autumn and other friends, but I guess it will have to be put on hold. This morning Mom tripped, fell and broke her upper arm (humerus as the doctors called it). She's now in a cast and can only type with her one good hand. *sigh* I was wondering myself, how did she manage to break her arm from a simple fall? It shouldn't be so bad right?

Anyways, this is going to be a short post...we'd like to ask for good healing vibes for Mom. Her humerus was broken in two, and although it's in a cast now, Mom might need surgery if it's not mending well...she'll be going for a follow up next week to see if she needs surgery, and we all certainly hope it's not necessary. *crosses paws* If it's all good, the doctors said she will be in a cast for about 6 weeks, so....I guess it's another long hiatus for me again. =( Will try to see if I can post about the trip later, since Mom will finally have time to be at home and have free time, but I guess it's not such a good thing too eh? Anyways, I'm babbling....please don't forget me! *wink*
