Birthday parties are SOOO fun!

Okay, I think I'm about to finish my backdated stuff that I'm supposed to post! YAYY! Hopefully I could convince Mom to do more for me...these days she has been making a bit more time for blogging for me because she's feeling guilty, all thanks to moi. Mwahahahahaha! She's gotten herself a new gadget thingy, and has been playing it non-stop the past few days (and in that process, neglecting me!)! So I told her that I'll leave her to her new toy if she helps me blog more...good deal, no?

Still, she said she'll try to keep the games to the weekends after I've been nothing but a Good Boy the past few days, sitting at her side, giving occasional kisses and head bumps. *grins* We'll see how it goes...

Oh wait, back to my original post! I got to attend a cool BIRTHDAY PARTY last week! YAYYY! It was for Ice, a cute Toy Poodle whom Mom met at another pet forum...she turned one on 25th February! It was such a lovely affair, with lots of people and doggies galore! I went with Mom, Aunty Jane, Gramma and Rachel, and boy did I have the time of my life! See photos:

First shot of the evening....moi of course! *wink*

Look at all the people that turned up to celebrate Ice's birthday! It was held in a very cool pet store where Ice's Mom worked!

And they've got yummy food too! I just had to do tricks to earn them though...ugh. But it's well worth it, coz they were YUMMYLICIOUS! I lost count after 3 of these delectable tarts...*grins* Don't worry, they were meant for us doggies...the humans have their own set of foods, which didn't look as nice as the ones I got, in my opinion! *evil grin*

See what I mean when I say it's more yummy? This is a cool mini doggie 'pizza'...and you know how I get with pizzas! *drools*

After all the lip-smacking delicacies, I got a chance to meet with all the other doggies who came for the party! Here are some of the photos...Again, I had to don the oh-so-embarassing 'undies' so that I don't go leaving peemails everywhere. Pfft! I asked Mom for an undie upgrade, and she found out that there ARE some more dignified looking, err...'loin cloth' kind of undie. LOL! (Apparently, it's not so bulky as this one that I'm forced to wear, but she has yet to find it so we'll see how):

There were also other pets present! Look at this cool sugar glider! Mom couldn't get a clearer photo though...he moves too fast! I love the googly eyes...heh!

Here are some more photos of a fraction of the doggies who attended the party! They all look so cool and nice, compared to me in my 'undies'...*sigh*:

Notice non of them wore any form of diapers ever? GRRRR! Mom is SOOOO unfair! (Mom: Well, if you behaved yourself more, I wouldn't have to put you in them!)

And now, to meet the birthday gal herself! Meet Ice, her Mom Shayne and her brother Chanel! *grins* Ice is the poodle with the e-collar...she had to put it on because she broke her leg some time ago, poor thing! But the vet gave the green light to take the cast off the day before her party, so she's good, but needs precaution just in case! =)

Look at the PRETTY cake that Ice got for her birthday! True to her princess nature, her Mom got her a princess-themed cake...and yes, it's a doggie safe cake, which means WE ALL GOT TO EAT SOME TOO!!! *licks lips* Thinking about it now, I'm starting to feel a little jealous...I wonder if I'll ever get a nice cake for my upcoming birthday since I never did get one for my first birthday? *hint hint Mom*

Oh look, there was a little pupcake too! Whose was that for?

It was for another doggie who had the same birthday as Ice...Money! (Yes, really..his name is Money! *wink*)

Another look at the birthday gal before they start cutting the cake...we all sang the Birthday song to Ice before that of course! (well, the humans did mostly! Surprisingly, no doggies gave any accompaniment...I guess they were all too shy and polite! LOL!)

And then, it's DIG IN time! Each doggie got our own slice of cake...and it's cheese cake at that too! Yummy yummy! I got so enthusiastic about it I did my Beg trick without Mom even asking...*wink*

And if that wasn't enough, check out this cool cookie that I got for dessert! *grins*

Chanel looking for more food...heh! He's so sweet to let Ice have all the attention that day...=)

What a way to end the evening: licking off excess cake, yummy foodables and cookies from my beard....hehehe!

Now, if only MY birthday was that cool...that would be just heaven! *dreamy look*
(Mom: Don't get your hopes up too high, dude...it's not yet April)

A Special Visit...

Our hearts are still very sad for Bogart and his family...please go to his blog if you haven't already to spread some love, prayer and support as they go through this very tough time.

**********************************************************

Yet another back dated post...=) Better late than never right? A few days after we got back from Ruby's Resort, we got some very cool news:

Can you tell who this is? I'm sure you can...=) Colin was here to stay with us for a few days as his parents went off to a family wedding!

Boy, oh boy, he's grown a lot in the past few weeks...his family has been great to him, though we've been told he's becoming a bit naughty. Just like me...heh!

See? He's almost as big as me already...=) Mom says his ears look a bit funny as they keep flapping upwards!

We do almost everything together....*wink*

Kenji didn't want to be in the photos with us...I guess he feels like he's interrupting or something. *shrugs*

Colin was starting to get shaggy when he came over....his Mom said she will be bringing him for a grooming session when she gets back. Wonder how he looks like now?

Me, I'm still chilling, and enjoying the play times with him...=)

Kenji got googly-eyed with envy when he sees us together...

...like so. =)

And then, Colin took over the sofa as well...LOL!

We sure had quite a bit of fun the whole time he was around...=) Hopefully I'll get more updates soon from his Mom; he's growing up so fast it's like, blink and we'll miss it! =)

P/S: I got to go to a friend's barkday party last week too...will tell you about that in my next post!

Farewell To A Wonderful Dad

We had just heard of the devastating news of Bogart's Dad's passing. Although we have not met him before, he was a central part of Bogart's daily blog, and I always feel like I know the whole family for a long time...I hope we all can take a moment to visit Bogart's blog to send over some love during this heartbreaking time. Rest in peace, Klaus...you will be dearly missed.

Day Three at Ruby's Resort!

Day 3 was AMAZING as well, but it was our last day at Ruby's Resort, so it was kind of bittersweet having to say goodbye, but also having loads of fun at the same time!

Mom said she wanted to try that 'handwriting' thing again...ugghh. Her writing was never better. Weird though coz her normal handwriting is usually so much better than this. Oh well...

I scrounged up my best smile for her to make her happy and get her off my back so I could...

...catch Kenji running as well! See how his body bends to the side? Haha! I told him he needs work on his hips and he snapped at me...pfft!

Kenji giving Mom the 'Whazzup?' look after his 'macho' run.

I got to run a lot too, but Mom always like to snap photos when I'm in the most unflattering position! GRRRR...what with the ears flapping, tongue askew and fur flying everywhere, no wonder she's an amateur 'photographer'!

Guess who am I checking out?

It's Kenji doing his thing! YAYYY! He didn't jump into the water by himself, but Gramma put him in to swim...hehe! He looks SOOO cute when he swims!

Aunty Vivian tried to get him to pose like me too, but he wouldn't have any of it...that's the best he would do: sit on the writing! LOLLL!

'Look Mom! I'm 'flying'!' WHEEEE!!!

Stopping just before I took off the other direction....hehe!

Running with Kenji was too fun! I get to overtake him EVERYTIME...mwahahahahahaha! *wink*

We met Coco after a while too...ain't her coat just gorgeous?

Bobo joined in the fun as well...I tried to get her to run with me and all, but no luck! =(

And then I tried to get Coco to run....but she wouldn't run if Bobo didn't! Awww man!

Here's Bobo working her way into jumping into the water....she sure is a natural! I THINK we have a video of her swimming...will see if I can get Mom to upload it here too! *grins*

Coco got a bit exhausted after playing for some time...see her long tongue? heh!

Turns out Bobo's Dad is a budding photographer too! Look at the gorgeous shots he took of us! He called this one 'Kenji the Killer Dog'....LOLLL! He said that coz Kenji is always so wary of strangers he would give a go at people, but after several tries, he warmed up to Bobo's Dad in the end! Heh!

And he even took a photo of me too! *grins*

Kenji was shivering a little afterwards, so we headed back again to get dry, and Kenji fell asleep as he was getting dried! This is a real phenomenon, coz he HATES the hair dryer and the noise it makes, but that day he was too comfortable from the heat it generated and ignored the noise...LOL!

As we prepared to head home, Aunty Vivian dressed him up in a tuxedo! Doesn't he look like a gentleman now? Awwww....

I didn't get no tuxedos, but I feel spiffy after cleaning up....*grins*

Another cool thing about Ruby's Resort is that we can leave messages and/or compliments on the property itself! It's like, allowed vandalism! LOLLL! Mom chose this wooden beam near the gate to help us write our message!

Yup, that's us...we were too short to be photographed next to the beam so we had to be carried. *grins* Special thanks to Bobo's Mom, Ruby, her staff and the wonderful people and doggies that we met during this awesome, AWESOME trip! I hope to get back here in the near future to get some more sand and water!! *grins*

That's all for my trip! I hope I can get the videos up soon after I persuade Mom to get her butt to do the editing...hehe! Next up, we got a surprise visitor to our home...watch this space! *wink*
