New Trick #2

Hi everyone!

Mom got this book, which gave her some ideas on how to teach me some tricks so that I can impress the ladies (Do we really need that? I mean, isn't our good looks good enough?). Also, seeing that Amber-Mae knows the most fabulous tricks, Mom is trying to learn to teach me this 'Take a Bow' trick...to some disastrous results yet again! This time, I assure you...it's worse than the 'Leave it' trick...

I don't know what's wrong with Mom...why do I have to keep my butt up in the air when I can plonk it down nice and comfy on the cool floor? Sheesh...Still, she is adamant about getting it right, but it seems either that she doesn't know how to follow instructions, or she's reading it wrongly....OR, she's just plain stupid. Either way, I win coz I get lots of treats! hehe! *wink*

Yes, the other doggie barking in the background is none other than Kenji...obviously when he saw me with any form of treats, he goes all yappy and crazy, wanting his fair share too...

xoxo,
Scottie

Scottie!

Well I must say, you are definitely better at bowing than I am! I also keep on lying down instead of actually bowing, hee hee. But you're right, it's worth it for all the treats!

My moomie can't make up her mind. Sit, stand, down....all the time. I do one and she makes me do the other. Moomies must all be alike.

Hi, Scottie.
Thanks for visiting my blog. You said your mum lurks on the yahoo rawfeeding group. Well, I must tell you that's all I normally do, also, I've only posted a couple of times, each time getting great answers to my questions.

That book of tricks looks great. I'm going to buy it. I think I might have seen it once on Johann the Dog blog, too. Thanks for posting the link to it.

Aw! that was the best video ever!

I never learned lay down right. So, i just sit there and stare at them like "what the heck are you saying?"

I could never leave a treat on my nose that long! Wow! You're amazing!

Now sister REALLY wants a schnau!

Hey Scottie, Haha... even if you can't get the trick, I'm sure you and your mom had such great fun together, and I think that's what matters :) Nice video, such a cheery soundtrack.

Scottie! Both your tricks looked good to me! I'm impressed! My girl read somewhere that if we do a new trick right 3 times in a row, then that's when the training session should end or move onto something else. It said that us terriers are so clever, that we'll start doing the trick wrong on purpose just to mess with our humans if we're asked to do it over and over. I think you did a fabulous job!
